The Political Theory Colloquium will be hosting its second last guest for this term this coming Friday. Professor Ruth Grant of Duke University will be presenting a paper entitled, "Custom's Power, Reason's Authority: John Locke and the Myth of 'Atomistic' Individualism." 

 
 
Prof. Grant is a Senior Fellow at the Kenan Institute for Ethics, and her recent publications include "Ethics and Incentives: A Political Approach," American Political Science Review, February 2006, and Naming Evil, Judging Evil, edited collection with chapters by J. Peter Euben, Michael Allen Gillespie, Ruth W. Grant, Malachi Hacohen, Nannerl O. Keohane, Elizabeth Kiss, Thomas A. Spragens, Jr., and David Wong, University of Chicago Press, 2006.
