Allen Dowty

Allen Dowty

(B.A., Shimer College, 1959; M.A., University of Chicago, 1960; Ph.D., University of Chicago, 1963) Professor, specializes in international relations, the Arab-Israel conflict, and Israeli politics. He has published six books and over one hundred articles; among the books are The Limits of American Isolation, Middle East Crisis: U.S. Decision Making in 1958, 1970, and 1973 , and The Jewish State: A Century Later. The Twentieth Century Fund sponsored his research on the right of emigration, published in Closed Borders . Most recently he was a Visiting Fellow at the Oxford Center for Hebrew and Jewish Studies, at Oxford University.
