Robert Wyllie is a Ph.D. student in political theory and international relations. He earned his M.A. in Government (2012) and B.A. in Politics (2010) from the University of Virginia.
Rob’s research interests include politics and religion, political obligation, and the modern reception of ancient political philosophy. He works particularly on 19th century political theory and has published articles on Hegel and Kierkegaard.
Before coming to Notre Dame, Rob taught history and philosophy for four years at the Miller School of Albemarle (in Charlottesville, VA). He expects to complete his Ph.D. in 2020.
