Lecture and Discussion: "Democracy and Authoritarianism in Latin America: Progress, Stagnation, or Backsliding?"

Join a lecture and discussion with Carlos Gervasoni, Former Kellogg Doctoral Student, Scott Mainwaring, Kellogg Faculty Fellow, and Aníbal Pérez-Liñán, Kellogg Faculty Fellow.

Carlos Gervasoni is an associate research professor in the Department of Political Science and International Studies at the Universidad Torcuato Di Tella in Argentina. He specializes in studies of democracy, feudalism, subnational politics, public opinion, and the methodology of social research.

Scott Mainwaring is the incoming Eugene P. and Helen Conley Professor of Political Science at the University of Notre Dame, where he holds a concurrent appointment with the Keough School of Global Affairs. He is also a faculty fellow at the Kellogg Institute for International Studies, where he previously served as director for 13 years and is a current Advisory Board member.

Aníbal Pérez-Liñán is a professor of political science and global affairs at the University of Notre Dame, where he holds a joint appointment in the Department of Political Science and the Keough School of Global Affairs. He is a former Kellogg Institute distinguished research affiliate, visiting fellow, and dissertation year fellow.
