Junior Parents Weekend: Arts & Letters Academic Workshop and Reception

Location: 101 DeBartolo Hall

The College of Arts & Letters Academic Workshop for Junior Parents Weekend will include an Arts & Letters faculty presentation in 101 DeBartolo Hall. An informal reception for parents and students to meet with faculty and other representatives from the College of Arts & Letters will follow in the Forum of Jenkins Nanovic.

Agenda:

  • 10 to 11 a.m. — Academic Workshop with parents and students, 101 DeBartolo Hall. A short Q&A portion will follow.
    • Speakers will include:
      • Andrew Stiles, JPW A&L student representative
      • Mary Flannery, associate dean for undergraduate studies, College of Arts & Letters
      • Jon T. Coleman, Andrew V. Tackes College Professor, Department of History
      • Angela McCarthy, associate teaching professor, Department of Political Science
      • Jared Mrozinske, director, Beyond the Dome
  • 11:15 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. — Reception for parents, students to meet with faculty, Forum of Jenkins Nanovic. Light refreshments will be provided.

Junior Parents Weekend (JPW) is focused on the Notre Dame family, enabling parents to become part of the academic, spiritual, social, and residential life of the University. It provides them with the chance to learn more about the people and places that comprise their son’s or daughter’s home away from home.
