Kathleen E. Powers is an Associate Professor of Government at Dartmouth College. Her research engages questions at the intersection of political psychology, foreign policy, public opinion, and international security.

Her first book, Nationalisms in International Politics (Princeton University Press, 2022), received the 2023 David O. Sears Award from the International Society of Political Psychology for the best book on the psychology of mass politics. Her other published research appears in various journals including the American Journal of Political Science, International Studies Quarterly, Journal of Conflict Resolution, Journal of Politics, and Political Psychology.

She received her PhD from The Ohio State University and held a fellowship at Dartmouth's Dickey Center for International Understanding.
