Join us for "Constructing the Whole First Amendment: Examining the Roles of Text, Doctrine, and History," a timely and essential symposium presented by the Notre Dame Law Review and the Center for Citizenship & Constitutional Government.

This comprehensive event will take place on Friday, October 31st in the McCartan Courtroom and is dedicated to a deep, academic examination of the First Amendment's foundational clauses. Starting with Welcome & Opening Remarks at 9:15 AM, the day is structured around three expert-led panels:

  • Panel I: The Assembly Clause at 9:30 AM

  • Panel II: The Free Speech Clause at 11:15 AM

  • Panel III: The Religion Clauses at 1:30 PM
