Biography

Angela McCarthy is the Arts & Letters Assistant Dean of Academic and Faculty Affairs and an Associate Teaching Professor of Political Science. Her research interests include political behavior and public opinion, with a focus on religion and politics. Her work has been published in Political Research Quarterly, The Journal for the Scientific Study of Religion, Geographical Review, the Journal of Women, Politics & Policy, and Social Science Quarterly. McCarthy received her Ph.D. and Master’s Degree in Political Science from Louisiana State University.
