Biography

Shay Hafner is a third-year Ph.D student in Political Science at the University of Notre Dame. His primary research interests are in partisanship and political identity, specifically looking at the factions and divides within parties in the electorate. Beyond this, he has interests in American political behavior broadly, with ongoing projects on political communication, electoral rhetoric, and religion and politics.

Before attending Notre Dame, Shay earned his B.A. in political science and data science from Monmouth College.
