Biography

Natalia Yepez Frias is a first-year Ph.D. student in American politics and political theory at the University of Notre Dame. Her primary research interests involve American democracy, public sentiment, participation, and political polarization. During her time as a doctoral student, Natalia aims to study the ways in which people have disassociated from traditional forms of community as well as how censorship is on the rise in America and what role partisanship plays in the reality or perception of this.

Before coming to Notre Dame, Natalia worked as a writer in New York City, where she completed stories that dealt with the challenging concepts of the immigrant experience, community, freedom, belonging, and maturity. She received her B.A. in Political Science from the University of Notre Dame
