I am a Ph.D. Candidate in Political Science at the University of Notre Dame. My fields of study are Political Theory and Constitutional Studies. Prior to coming to Notre Dame, I studied at Furman University, where I received a BA in Political Science and History. From 2013 to 2015, I was a Teach for America corps member in Denver, CO, where I taught high school history.
My dissertation research focuses on the foundations of Tocqueville’s liberalism. The dissertation seeks to offer an entirely new interpretation of Tocqueville’s political philosophy and to engage with contemporary disputes surrounding liberalism.
