Abby Staysa is a 2022 Ph.D. Candidate in Political Theory and Constitutional Studies at the University of Notre Dame. 

She received a B.A. in Political Science and Philosophy, Summa Cum Laude, from Hiram College (2015), as well as a M.A. in Political Science (2018) and a Certificate of Classics (2019) from the University of Notre Dame. She is a member of Phi Beta Kappa.

Her dissertation examines the relationship of practical wisdom and pleasure in the education of Aristotle’s Nicomachean Ethics. Her research and teaching interests derive from a continuous study of the great minds, ancient and modern, whose relevance persist and who teach us about the world.
