Jing Li is a third-year Political Science PhD student at the University of Notre Dame. She specializes in Political Economy and Security Studies. Her research delves into the effect of China's international economic expansion on great power politics, encompassing both material and cultural aspects. Her current project investigates the influence of Chinese development finance, specifically aid, on Latin America's local public opinion regarding governance.

By blending fieldwork with statistical analysis, Jing employs a multi-method approach. Leveraging her trilingual proficiency in Chinese, English, and Spanish, she explores the role of natural language processing in deciphering political communication and augmenting cross-border fieldwork.

Jing earned her MA in Sociology from Notre Dame and an MA in Public Policy from Johns Hopkins University. Her academic journey began with a BA in Public Administration from the University of International Business and Economics in Beijing.
