Jonathan Gondelman is a PhD Candidate in the Department of Political Science at the University of Notre Dame. He specializes in ancient political thought and is currently writing a dissertation on Thucydides and the role that the desire to rule plays in the growth and dissolution of the city-state. His other interests include German philosophy, particularly Hegel, Nietzsche, and Heidegger. He graduated from Sarah Lawrence College with a BA in Liberal Arts.
