Linus has a BA in Philosophy and East Asian Studies and an MA in the Program in the Social Sciences from the University of Chicago. His research interests include political-economic history, intellectual history, the status and interpretation of the canonical texts of political thought, Chinese and Japanese political thought, and the relationship between social, economic, political, scientific, and technological conditions and political ideology and political ideation in general. Without directly relating to his political concerns, he also has a longstanding side-interest in psychoanalysis, and his research has recently been published in The Psychoanalytic Review. He is currently working as an election coordinator in Chicago and previously studied in Japan and China.
