Peitong is a PhD student in Political Science at the University of Notre Dame. Her research explores the intersections of political education, civil religion, and the means of media technology. Her MA thesis studied the use of religious terminology in Chinese political promotional materials.
She holds an MA with a concentration in Political Science from the University of Chicago and a BA in Economics from the University of Wisconsin-Madison, where she assisted in behavioral economics research experiments. Before coming to Notre Dame, she taught for the University of Chicago Writing Program and worked for Honoring the Future, a non-profit that uses art to educate the public on environmental issues.
