Peitong Jing

Peitong is a Ph.D. student in Political Science at the University of Notre Dame. Her research explores the intersections of nationalism, emotion, and the means of media technology. She applies the methods of natural language processing, particularly text analysis, to studying questions of nationalism.
She holds an M.A. with a concentration in Political Science from the University of Chicago and is currently also a student in the department of Applied and Computational Mathematics and Statistics (ACMS). Before coming to Notre Dame, she taught for the University of Chicago Writing Program and worked for Honoring the Future, a non-profit that engages the public on the issue of climate change through education and art.
