Biography
Greg Endicott is a career administrator and a seasoned professional with a diverse background in both media and higher education. A native of California, Endicott currently serves as the department administrator for the Department of Political Science at the University of Notre Dame. His journey at Notre Dame began in December 2008 when he joined as a staff assistant in the Department of Music. Demonstrating a strong capacity for leadership and organization, he steadily advanced, eventually becoming the graduate studies coordinator for the political science department before assuming his current leadership role. His expertise at the university includes human resources, such as hiring, reappointments, and promotions, as well as managing faculty leaves.
Prior to his career in academia, Endicott spent 17 years in the field of journalism as an award-winning copy editor for The Sacramento Bee newspaper. While there, he also showcased his writing talent by authoring a weekly column titled "Reality Check," which reviewed early reality television shows.
Endicott attended Whittier College, where he majored in music performance, Endicott's professional life has included a variety of roles outside of his primary career paths. He was part of the original team that opened Universal Studios in Orlando, Florida, in 1990, and has also held positions at Walt Disney World and Esprit de Corps. A lifelong enthusiast of music and performance, he attended college on a vocal music scholarship and maintains his interest in the arts, particularly by enjoying Broadway musicals. He is also known for his interest in finding new dance music to keep himself motivated while exercising.
