Biography

Luke Thompson is a J.D.-Ph.D. in Political Science dual-degree student at the University of Notre Dame, with emphases on constitutional studies and political theory. His research interests include Catholic political and legal thought, the idea of representation, and concepts of political leadership. He is particularly interested in how theological and legal notions of representation could interact to help us better understand how exemplary political leaders can derive authority and unique latitude through their capacity to represent. He received his B.A. in the Program of Liberal Studies, political science, and theology at Notre Dame and is an alumnus of the Hudson Political Studies Program. Following graduation, he worked as a Pre-Doctoral Research Affiliate with the Center for Citizenship and Constitutional Government at Notre Dame.
