Associate Professor Guillermo Trejo is awarded prestigious grant

Associate Professor Guillermo Trejo and his coauthors, Sandra Ley and Shannan Mattiace, have been awarded a grant from the Harry Frank Guggenheim Foundation for their project “Criminal Violence and Indigenous Resistance: Why Ethnic Autonomy Institutions Deter Drug Violence in Mexico.”

The grant will enable them to conduct a major survey of indigenous communities in southern Mexico.
