About the speakers: David Campbell is the Packey J. Dee Professor of American Democracy at the University of Notre Dame and the former chairperson of the political science department. His research focuses on civic and political engagement, with a particular focus on religion (and secularism) and young people. 

Geoff Layman serves as the chair of the Department of Political Science and is the co-editor (along with Benjamin Radcliff) of the journal Political Behavior. His research focuses on political behavior, political parties, and religion and politics, with a particular emphasis on long-term changes in the parties and their electoral coalitions.

Wayde Marsh is a 5th year Ph.D. candidate in American politics, political theory, and methodology. His research in American politics focuses on political parties, public opinion, elections and voting behavior, race and ethnicity politics, and religion and politics.
